About the role
The Migration Agent for Operations is responsible in ensuring that all visa cases are legally compliant with Australian Immigration legislation by keeping abreast with the current changes and moulds the company’s services to the Australian Migration landscape. S/he is responsible in educating and training all Paralegals on the visa application process for various visas including employer sponsored visas, skilled migration, partner visas, tourist and student visas. Current MARN registration is a must for this position.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Acts as the Operations second-in-command in absence of the Operations Manager
- Manages visa cases for clients from gathering, reviewing and submitting all legal documents necessary for all visa cases
- Conducts pre-lodgement review and Immigration request to ensure legality of all visa application documents, and take actions when appropriate
- Manages visa application deadlines by providing direct supervision to all Paralegals and provides assistance when necessary to ensure successful visa application
- Provides legislation updates from the Department of Home Affairs to all concerned staff of the company
- Drafts legal responses to address clients’ queries and concerns, and communicates and represents the company with the Department of Home Affairs
- Conducts in-depth research for better visa strategies and diagnosis to ensure successful visa application
- Assists the Operations Manager in establishing operations system and processes in accordance with the Australian Department of Home Affairs and/or any other regulatory bodies
- Provides legal consultation and assistance to the operations team to ensure excellent delivery of service in order to attain successful visa application of clients
- Assists the Operations Manager in creating and developing strategies in providing excellent customer service to meet clients’ needs and expectation to ensure repeat and referral clients
- Conducts legal training to Operations Team and other concerned departments to ensure operational efficiency amongst the staff
Qualifications:
- Must be a Registered Migration Agent (with current MARN registration)
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience
- Proficient in Australian Migration law
- With excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment
- With excellent customer service and people skills
- With medium IT skill – Google drive, Microsoft Office, Project management software
